Job Description

Job SummaryDaudet Creek Contracting is seeking full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations in Kitimat, BC. The Operator will be responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely at all times and that paperwork is completed accurately and in timely manner.Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate a variety of heavy construction equipment including, but not limited to, excavators, loaders, graders and dozers
  • Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments, logs and reports any maintenance concerns with the equipment using provided software tools
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets
  • Coordinates activities with other drivers and operators
  • Accurately complete production reporting and other documentation as required
  • Ensures that work is completed during established shifts
  • May perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • Strong Safety First Attitude
  • Minimum 5 years commercial or industrial experience
  • Provide details of vehicle experience
  • Provide Driver Abstract
  • Must possess certified steel toe boots
Preference Given
  • No operator’s license suspensions within the previous 3 years involving drug and/or alcohol, or a record that would indicate a disregard for public safety
  • Not involved in a major preventable accident in the past 3 years
Work Conditions
  • Seasonal to start but potential for permanent for the right Candidate
  • Competitive pay and RRSP plan available
  • Work will be outdoors in a variety of terrain and weather conditions
