Our professionalism and expertise in the field have made us the standout company in the industry!CDN is currently looking to hire a Junior Purchaser / Warehouse Associate to join our Purchasing and Parts Department based out of our office in Kitimat.A Junior Purchaser is responsible for the ordering, processing and procurement of requested material for CDN Controls. Also, assisting the Warehouse Associates as required. • As directed process orders from start to finish by following established procedures and ensure proper communication is followed.
• Conduct product research to gather pricing, availability and sourcing.
• Confirm details of delivery according to scheduled times and commitment dates and ensure that information is communicated accordingly.
• Ensure all ordered parts or parts taken from inventory are entered fully in the operating system
• Ensure that their operating system data is up to date and checked for errors
• Ensure that all backorders are tracked and communicated efficiently
• Picking orders and helping physically receive to gain knowledge
• Pursue cost savings where possible.
• Ensure inventory control procedures are adhered to.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and field staff.
• Off-load freight as required and assist the shipping and receiving department.
• Arrange for the loading and transport of materials and supplies necessary to meet requirements.
• Adhere to company health, safety and environmental practices and procedures.
• Attend Safety Meetings regularly.

Qualifications:

• Valid class 5 driver’s license
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Must be an effective listener with effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be organized and have the ability to manage a variety of time sensitive tasks at one time.
• Must have a solid experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, and knowledge of Inventory and Procurements Systems.
• Potential participation in On Call Schedule
• 1-3 years of industry purchasing experience
• High School Diploma
