As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!Junior Quality Control TechnicianKentron Construction who is part of Terus Construction Ltd group is well established and reputable construction operating business that has been part of the community for over 35 years.Kentron Construction is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the team as Junior Quality Control Technician.Responsibilities are primarily to monitor all specifications of the ready-mix productions and report variances as detected. Establish communication that will enable the production team to proceed with proper actions to resolve any QC related issues as required.The ideal candidate will possess:Quality Control:

• Assist in the application of quality control program and procedure.
• Quality Control Testing and conduct lab correlation with Quality Assurance Testing Agency.
• Will report promptly substandard results so corrective actions are applied in the best of times as required.
• Display good communication and liaison with colleagues, and Supervisor regarding project quality management topics and issues.
• Performs on the job quality control testing on aggregates and concrete mix’s under supervision of the Quality Control lead.
• Maintains high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
• Keeps high housekeeping standards with the lab and testing equipment.

Health & Safety, Environmental regulations, policies, procedures

• Understand and abide by the OH&S Regulations, Safety Policy, other internal policies and safety directives that may be implemented on specific sites from those that the Company is contracted with to perform the work (ie. owners, general contractors).
• Participate in tailgate safety meetings & hazard assessments as required by OH&S regulations and company policy.
• Participate in the review of project sites daily for changing conditions that may negatively affect safety of employees or subcontractors working directly for the Company.
• Participate in completing Job Site Hazard Assessments as required by OH&S regulations and company policy.
• Inform advise immediate supervisor of items of concern and aide in making adjustments to the work schedule or methods of construction to ensure safety of workers at all times.

Employment Requirements:

• Detailed oriented and focus on accuracy of reporting.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license.
• Computer skills: Excel, Word, and engineering programs are considered assets.
