Maintenance Planner (Multiple Opportunities)

We are looking for two Maintenance Planners to ensuring the efficiency of the maintenance crew, and the reliability of the equipment, by planning the maintenance activities. The key success to this position will be the incumbent’s ability to manage multiple resources/requests, exercise sound decision-making and deliver planned work to the committed timeframes.This is a great opportunity for an organized and team-oriented individual to advance the maturity of the maintenance team and coordinate all maintenance work for their respective area.We are an open, connected global team that includes some of the industry’s best and brightest minds. With a global reach, the opportunities to develop and grow your career are broad and exciting.Reporting to the area Superintendent, and working a desirable Monday to Friday schedule, you will be responsible for:
  • Acting with humility, honesty, integrity, and a commitment to safety. Demonstrating commitment and compliance to all safety policies and procedures to ensure zero injuries or incidents
  • Improving productivity of people, equipment, and work quality by eliminating potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution
  • Producing weekly maintenance plans which are practical with resources identified, accurate estimates, and all necessary materials
  • Ensuring safety needs are given a top priority in work planning
  • Providing KPI data showing maintenance performance to various departments
  • Recommending system and design changes to improve the processes
  • Leading follow-up meetings to capture learnings from the workforce to capture improvements in plant and procedures
  • Applying shutdown management best practices
  • Scheduling shipping of repairable items and track them until they return to site
  • Tracking long lead time parts orders

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Maintenance Planning or Scheduling in an industrial setting
  • Experience using SAP CMMS system
  • A tertiary qualification in a Maintenance-related field is preferred (i.e., Journeyperson trade designation, engineering, or technologist in an electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation field and/or MMP qualification, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
  • Understanding of maintenance work management processes
  • Valid Driver’s License
