Job Description

Program Facilitator12-month term positionWomen Building Futures (WBF) is a non-profit organization that empowers women to become economically prosperous through industry recognized training. Candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to applyAre you excited to work with women preparing for training and employment The Class Lead/Program Facilitator at Women Building Futures (WBF) will deliver the workplace culture workshops, act as the class lead for assigned classes and monitor student progress in support of instructors and individual learning needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure effective delivery of an introductory construction trades program by delivering “Best Practices Workplace Readiness”.
  • Plan and facilitate student orientations and graduations.
  • Build relationships and mentor students throughout the program.
  • Identify and address strategies for potential challenges a student may encounter during the program.
  • Monitor student involvement and progress within each class, ensuring that students understand and adhere to WBF policies and procedures.
  • Maintain student attendance and records in WBF’s Client Management System (CRM)
  • Coordinate with the project manager/coordinator to ensure that supplies and materials are obtained for each workshop and ensure classroom bookings and all IT/equipment requirements have been met.
  • Provide support to on and off-site instructors to ensure the success of the program and the students
  • Work with internal teams within the organization in preparing and developing the students’ skills for employment readiness such as resume development and interview skills.

Education & Experience
  • College Diploma or University Degree in human services field or adult education
  • 2-5 years of experience in facilitating adult learning courses and workshops (in person and virtually)
  • Experience working in the trades and familiarity of the various trades requirements and apprenticeship process is considered an asset.
  • Experience in providing coaching and support for students in areas of life management and career development.
  • Possesses exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect sensitive information.
