If you value teamwork, empowerment in your career and are eager to champion Fluor’s project execution, this opportunity just may be for you!The Training Operations Manager reports directly to the Senior Training and Development Manager and is responsible for the coordination of Training & Development initiatives, alignment of the various team members, integration of common project themes, the organizational arrangement of the team, and overseeing day-to-day operations of the training functions on the project.Accountabilities:

  • Proactively identifies T&D departmental teambuilding topics and facilitates the development of appropriate plans
  • Oversees the operation of the on-site Trades Training Centre, Visual Onboarding Center, Non-Vocational Training Programs (at Cedar Valley Lodge), the off-site Construction Boot Camp, as well as HSSE Training and Orientation activities
  • Assists with the design and delivery of all training and education programs
  • Supports project-wide training programs for all subcontractors on the project
  • Supports Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in developing project-specific training and education programs
  • Simplifies T&D scheduling, controls reports, and monitors prime contact training obligations
  • Facilitates organizational skills in the T&D department
  • Achieve synchronization with training staff and other project stakeholders
  • Facilitates and educates project stakeholders in the application of T&D department initiatives and plans
  • Audits, monitors, and provides assessment for all T&D personnel.
To be Considered Candidates:Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.Basic Job Requirements
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of coaching, facilitating, and mentoring experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in a training environment, preferably within the mining, construction, or heavy industrial sector
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Extensive experience implementing and conducting training and education
  • Program implementation and management experience is preferred
  • Extensive expertise with regards to knowledge and skill gap analysis.
  • Skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations and other training media.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Organizational design and development certificate
  • Diploma or certification in Adult Education or Instructional Design
  • Strong team mentoring, public speaking, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • High level of communication skills, capable of conversing with people at all levels of the organization
  • Attention to detail, and exceptional organizational and report generation skills
