Start your journey with Sodexo, as we continue to grow across Canada!Job DescriptionResponsible for escorting deliveries, executing town pickups / errands from various places in the towns of Kitimat and Terrace. - The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Utility Driver Tasks:

• Mail pickups and drop offs
• Delivery escorts
• Package and supply pickups and deliveries
• Transportation of employees as directed
• Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries
• Must be able to use equipment to assist with lifting as required.

Janitorial Tasks:

• Janitorial tasks will be completed during down time when no driving tasks are required
• Buffs, polishes, and strips floors, cleans, and buffs hard surfaces.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs, and office space, etc.
• Notifies supervisor concerning need for repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• May perform advanced cleaning procedures for carpeted floor and carpet care.
• Responsible for cleaning furniture.
• Responsible for emptying trash, linen, and garbage containers.
• May handle hazardous waste in accordance with government regulations and Sodexo standards.
• Responsible for a variety of tasks, including washing walls, removing garbage,
• Attends to the cleaning of guest washrooms (toilets, sinks, etc.), tables, chairs, fitness center equipment, public spaces, boot rooms, building entrances/exits, outside areas, cigarette disposal containers, etc.

Working Conditions:

• Will work in both indoor and outdoor environments, in varying weather conditions
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have steeled toed safety shoes

QualificationsEducation/License:

• A valid class 5 driver’s license required.
• Clean driver’s abstract required (will be requested if you are given an interview)
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2 or more years of related experience.
