VICE-PrincipalMOUNT ELIZABETH MIDDLE/SECONDARY SCHOOLApplications are invited for the above continuing full-time position to commence August 1, 2021 . Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School enrols 400 students in Grades 7-12 including a French Immersion program. The Vice-Principal plays a key role as a member of the instructional and school operations Leadership Team. Mount Elizabeth is a vibrant school community serving a highly energized and active student population. Mount Elizabeth is a dynamic learning environment, meeting the academic, artistic, athletic and social needs of middle school students from grades 7-9 and secondary students from grades 10-12.The successful candidate will have demonstrated:Respectful working relationships with learners, parents, staff, community and First Nations partners through the application of excellent interpersonal skills.A reputation as a highly effective instructional leader in improving learning success for all students.Understanding and application of formative assessment practices.Success leading classrooms and schools in data informed instruction.Respect for and commitment to Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Learning.Ability to lead progressive systems which provide innovative learning experiences for students.Knowledge and experience using technology to enhance learning.Continuous inquiry and professional learning for self and others.Experience and knowledge in Learner Support Services and inclusion.Ability to support a positive, cooperative, safe, orderly and caring school environment.Ability to champion, in theory and practice, for middle schools.Respect for people from all cultures.Highly successful experience as a Vice-Principal or teacher leader.Success in continuing to challenge themselves and grow as a leader in education.A graduate degree in Education, with a focus on leadership or curriculum and instruction, preferably from a Canadian University.The closing date for applications is 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2021.
