Job Description

Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah normally operates as a hotel, restaurant, café, and gift shop. Due to COVID-19 we have decided to only open our Cafe and Gift Shop to the public.Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah Lodge is seeking hard-working, independent candidates to fill the position of Retail Associate in our Café and Gift Shop, on a seasonal basis, immediately until the start of September 2021. Experience is a definite asset but not required.The Café and Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for the daily duties and tasks required to ensure a positive visitor and customer experience. Maintaining a high level of professionalism in the Lodge and Guest areas. Attention to detail is key.Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the organizing and planning of proper display and stacking of the goods and supplies of the store.
  • Assisting customers with purchases and giving them detailed product demonstration
  • Ensuring customer transactions are done efficiently and properly
  • Use of POS terminals and Revel for credit/debit and cash purchases
  • Using proper food handling procedures in and around the café products
  • Performing closing duties/cash outs and cleaning at the end of each shift
  • General knowledge about Num Ti Jah Lodge, the Bow Lake area as well as Banff National Park.
Education/Certificates:
  • High School diploma
  • WHMIS

With a community staff house, fire pit, staff activities, and access to hiking trails from your front door. Being a part of our team, you are able to create as many incredible memories as those of our guests!Bow Lake is located 35 kilometers / 22 miles North of Lake Louise on the scenic Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93 N) 195 kilometers / 120 miles South of the Jasper Town-site.Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The lodge is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.Contract length: 3 monthsPart-time hours: 30-40 per weekJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, ContractSalary: $16.00 per hourAdditional pay:
