The Crossing Resort is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor. This is a hands-on working position.A family-owned resort located on highway 93, approx. 80 kms from Lake Louise, AB consisting of a 65-room motel, a large restaurant, Café, Pub, commercial kitchen, gas station, general store, 45 associate dorm style rooms and 11 small cabins.This role encompasses both a “hands on” approach as well as the supervisory component.Our maintenance team is usually on site 7 to 7.5 months and work 6 days per week.Accommodation and meals are provided for a nominal fee.Key Responsibilities:· Take direction from the maintenance manager and in their absence, will carry out the responsibilities of the manager.· Responsible for maintenance and repair in all Crossing venues, commercial and residential spaces.Possess some knowledge of HVAC systems, basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills.Requirements:· 1 - 2 years in residential and/or commercial maintenance experience preferred.· Must possess good decision-making skills· Communication and interpersonal skills a necessity. Team player, fast learner and be mechanically inclined.· Possess exemplary time management skills and demonstrate flexibility when priorities change quickly.· Valid Class 5 Drivers License required. Be prepared to provide a driver’s abstract· Must speak, write, and read English well.· Attention to detail, integral, accountable.· Be a role model and mentor for the other maintenance team members and contribute to their performance evaluations.· Physically fit a necessity; must lift 45 kg. occasionally.
