What will I be doingThe Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and professional presentation of guest rooms and common areas. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager you will help ensure that employees complete their daily tasks safely, treat other team members with respect and ensure guests are provided with friendly, knowledgeable service.Clear communication and good organizational skills will be key to your success as a supervisor. Your manager and the entire management team will be supporting you as needed to help you achieve personal and professional success.
  • Supervise all Housekeeping Room Attendants as they perform their duties.
  • Assign all room lists and assign them to teams of Room Attendants when the Housekeeping Manager is not available. Check all rooms to ensure the quality of work is maintained and clear them for the Front Desk.
  • Coordinate the stripping of the rooms with Laundry and the Room Attendants.
  • Assist with basic guest services and housekeeping duties when short handed: include bed making, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and rooms, laundry and general maintenance.
  • Ensure all Housekeeping Rooms and carts are fully stocked with linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  • Work quickly, efficiently without compromising quality of work.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and kindness.
  • Report any technical issues or maintenance needs to the Hotel Manager.
  • Provide input to all performance evaluation
  • Assist with training and coaching of new employees
  • Ensure that all Occupational Health & Safety policies and training are followed.
What attitudes, skills experience and abilities are we looking for
  • Experience as a Housekeeping Room Attendant and/ or Supervisor is preferred.
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer oriented and friendly.
  • Leadership skills
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • A Criminal Record Check is required
  • Must be legal to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $20.00-$23.00 per hourBenefits:
