Job DescriptionAt Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, unparalleled service and luxury await guests of Fairmont Gold, our exclusive “hotel within a hotel” experience. As Fairmont Gold Supervisor, you will bring our exceptional “Fairmont Gold standards” to life for the guests of our 59 room and suite collection. This hybrid role encompasses the duties of a front desk and concierge, while also being responsible for ensuring the operation of the reception and lounge are set up for success.Reporting to the Fairmont Gold Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, warm, personalized, friendly and engaging service
• Assist in ensuring all Fairmont Gold standards and operating procedures are adhered to
• Monitor maintenance of the physical Fairmont Gold product and offerings
• Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure requests are met, and anticipate the needs of arriving guests
• Pre-arrival communication via email and phone with guests
• Ensure the highest possible revenues are generated for Fairmont Gold, working with the Front Office team on daily upsell programs
• Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas to ensure that we can recovery remarkably
• Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
• Maintain guest profiles to ensure preferences are logged and used to wow guests and anticipate their needs
• Provide thoughtful and knowledgeable Concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions
• Book dining reservations and activities on guest’s behalves, while maintaining secure processing of payment
• Discreetly handle VIP guests
• To follow department policies, procedures and service standards
• To follow all safety policies
• Assist in the Fairmont Gold Lounge during service hours as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience required
• Previous Property Management System experience required
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
• Ability to professionally communicate, spoken and written is required
• University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
• Must maintain a professional presentation
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Seeking a candidate who is naturally resourceful, improvement focused and empathetic
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Candidates must be legal to serve alcohol in Alberta (18 years of age) and must possess ProServe certification
