Job Description

Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah normally operates as a hotel, restaurant, café, and gift shop. Due to COVID-19 we have decided to only open our Cafe and Gift Shop to the public.Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah Lodge is seeking a hard-working, independent candidate to fill the job share position of Retail Associate/Maintenance, on a seasonal basis, from mid to late-June to the start of September 2021. This position is mainly maintenance with 1-2 shifts in the Gift Shop or Cafe.Maintenance contributes to the orderly operation of the overall Lodge operations and general guest and visitor experience. Completes maintenance job requests from GM. Responsible for completing daily checks when on shift.The Café and Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for the daily duties and tasks required to ensure a positive visitor and customer experience. Maintaining a high level of professionalism in the Lodge and Guest areas. Attention to detail is key.Education/Certificates:

  • High School diploma
  • Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Mechanical, Landscaping Tickets (Desired)
  • WHMIS
Qualifications:
  • 1year Previous Maintenance Experience
  • General Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Mechanical, Landscaping experience an asset
  • Occupational Health and Safety Standards
  • Working at Heights Certification
  • First Aid and CPR

The lodge is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.Contract length: 3 monthsExpected start date: 2021-06-23Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, ContractSalary: $17.00 per hourSchedule:
