Join our Fairmont family today!What is in it for you:Experience living in Banff National Park in the iconic location of Lake LouiseSubsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time statusAccess to our Lifestyle Program activitiesOne duty meal in our newly renovated staff cafeteriaCompetitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent statusEmployee Travel ProgramComprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks)Discounts on food & beverage/fitness centre/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceResponsible for blocking the 554 guest rooms, ensuring the best room for guests by touching every reservation, reviewing comments, requests, history, guest type and party-with reservationsKnowledge of Tour Contracts as it relates to room allocationKnowledge of group business through group masters and blocks, incentive business, convention files and resumesAttend weekly Group Resume meeting and handle convention group room requestsWork closely with Reservations Manager, Group Inventory Manager and Tour Operations Supervisor to ensure accurate allocation of roomsKnowledge of maintenance rooms and ability to work with the Housekeeping and Engineering team to ensure rooms are placed out of order based on occupancy levelsComply with all department policies, procedures, and service standardsFollow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiativesBe primary source of contact for Queue RoomsCoordinate Keep In Touch – adding ETA based on guest feedback / placing rooms on queue to assist with room readiness / preregister guests for Front Desk and Guest ServicesOther reasonable duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar environment will be an assetMust possess outstanding guest service skills, including professional verbal communication skillsGood computer literacy (experience using Property Manager System preferred, and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel)Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible and reliable, demonstrating initiative as requiredProven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environmentAbility to meet the physical requirements of the role, including:Frequent standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsYou may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights, and other non-day shifts.
