We value our employees and want each qualified employee to experience a welcome atmosphere.JOB SUMMARY: The Security Officer inspects various sections of the establishment, from the bathrooms to the bar to ensure safety. The Security Officer will patrol the bar periodically to look for any threats to the bars security, and identify rowdy patrons and eject them from the establishment. The Security Officer also assists other areas of the hotel as needed during their shifts.WHAT YOU GET:

SALARY:

• First 90 days: $19.50 per hour
• After 90 days: $20.50 per hour
• Summer Incentive: + $ 2 hr July 7th - Oct 12th (Program Terms apply).

DETAILS:

• Hotel is located in Lake Louise
• Valid Canadian Work-Permit is required for International Applicants
• Security License Preferred (Can also be obtained within 3 months of start)
• Start date: Immediate start

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Patrol all areas of the property and staff accommodations frequently and regularly
• Monitor security cameras daily and conduct physical hazard inspections
• Submit daily reports of unusual activities or irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, and presence of unauthorized persons
• Respond to accidents and assist hotel guests/ employees during the emergency
• Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and facilitate interviews when required
• Defuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the establishment if necessary
• Monitor the bar occupancy to ensure it doesnt exceed maximum capacity
• Inspect the identification of guests to prevent underage individuals from entering
• Monitors entrances and exits and ensures that individuals who have been barred do not get into the establishment
• Takes care of individuals welfare by resolving conflicts and restraining rowdy patrons
• Provide First Aid and medical attention as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Alberta Security License (Preferred) (Obtainable in first 3 months).
• First Aid
• Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract (Preferred)
• Must be available for day, evening and overnight shift
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong computer skills ability to learn technology devices (phones, equipment)
• Ability to identify possible threats to the security of people and property under their care
• Ability to identify possible threats and de-escalate confrontations
• An ability to take the lead in a crisis situation but also follow instructions during similar situations
• Previous experience is an asset but training will be provided
