Join our Fairmont family today!What is in it for you:- Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employees- One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $5/meal)- Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Visionamp; Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health (up to $5,000/year), Orthodontics (up to $2,500/year), Fertility Drugs and Gender Affirmation (Lifetime maximum of $10,000) for full time permanent status employees- Defined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employees- Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on foodamp; beverage at Fairmontamp; Accor properties world-wide- Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program - Discounted room rates including 50% off all foodamp; beverage at Fairmont Resorts in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasperamp; Whistler (subject to availability)- Discounts while using our resort #39;s Foodamp; Beverage Outlets, Fitness Centre, and Spa- Automatically added to our resort #39;s Colleague Lifestyle Program which includes access to staff activities and events- Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and over 5,000 properties with AccorJob DescriptionWhat you will be doing:- Ensure that the departmental payroll, holidays and stats are accurately and efficiently recorded for Stewarding team- Create weekly schedules and enter into our WATSON system- Create Daily Labor Reports- Forward records to Talent and Culture pertaining to WCB claims, Weekly Indemnity claims, Vacation and Sick Notes and all other employee-related concerns- Data entry of food purchases, daily revenues and food cost tracking- Coordinate and keep accurate records for the Culinary Apprenticeship Program- Register new Apprentices and enroll Apprentices to schools- Facilitate new employee department training and orientation- Prepare and track job task checklists- Attend departmental meetings and manage/coordinate minutes and actions from meetings- Assist and prepare standard menu recipes and costing cards- Coordinate, process and plan BEO #39;s and follow through on daily changes or updates- Review and manage candidates in the Talent Acquisition System (SmartRecruiter)- Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate full interviews- Assist with training of HAACP, WHMIS, and other training/classroom courses.- Send resignation, termination and transfer emails- Create Employee Action Forms: hiring, change of status, and terminations- Maintain the Kitchen and the Bean office filing system, including employee files, performance logs and performance appraisals- Prepare BDTs and resumes for resume meetings- Coordinate monthly Health and Safety Audits for all Kitchens- Update spreadsheets pertaining to hiring, schedules, and payroll- Submit month end reports: transfers and unproductive hours- Order department office supplies- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives- Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives- Carry out any other tasks as assignedQualificationsYour experience and skills include:- Strong business communication skills (composing faxes, letters) required- Must be highly skilled with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.- Previous payroll administration experience an asset- Previous experience with recruitment an asset.- Previous experience with the following programs would be an asset: Time and Attendance and WATSON- Previous background in a Foodamp; Beverage and Kitchen environment an asset- Self-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision- Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure- Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.- Ability to consistently stand and walk through out shiftAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Our Commitment to Diversityamp; Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.APPLY TODAY: We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about living and working in Lake Louise! www.lakelouisejobs.comWhy work for Accor We are far more than a worldwide leader.
