Job Description

As a member of the Support Services team, performs a variety of functions in the service of housekeeping, laundry, and dietaryfollowing Northern Health Region (NHR) and Aramark standards.The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult AbuseRegistry Check and adhere to all Northern Health Region (NHR) policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 10 education or equivalent
  • Food Safe Certification
  • Class V Driver’s License preferred
  • Previous experience in dietary, housekeeping, and laundry services in an institutional setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the NHR core competencies; customer/client focus, initiative and pro-activity,
diversity awareness, teamwork and collaboration, development of self and others, adaptability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend and learn basics of therapeutic diets and how they impact patient care plans as well as infection
control practices
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Ability to speak Cree an asset
  • Satisfactory employment record required
