Arcadis Canada is seeking a Demolition/Construction Project Manager for a remote site in Northern Manitoba. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of field construction/project management experience in the demolition industry. The candidate must have a successful history with leading large scale demolition projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in one of the best-qualified firms in the country.Role accountabilities:

  • Managing field personnel, subcontractors, and office support staff in the safe execution of demolition construction projects.
  • Management of projects, financial planning, change management and cost control.
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with our clients.
  • Interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others.
  • Market and promote demolition construction services.
  • Managing and working collaboratively with contractor(s), local government(s), and other agencies having jurisdiction and the Owner to solve project challenges representing the Owners best interest.
  • Creating budgets and develop project schedules.
  • Creating work execution plans to assist with bid phases and post award final execution plans.
  • Developing and implementing site specific Health & Safety and Environmental Plans.
  • Travel to out of town and remote sites will be expected.
The desired candidate must also have experience in the following:
  • Knowledge and ability to quickly understand principals of demolition, environmental and contractor means and methods.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Independently write reports and correspondence.
  • Experience in managing large value construction projects
  • Estimating experience
  • Client/business development experience
  • Proposal development experience.
  • Environmental requirements for working with hazardous materials, including, site management, transportation, and disposal requirements.
  • Demolition and other associated permitting requirements.
  • Large Industrial, Oil & Gas, and Mining experience.
Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years construction experience, 5+ years in Project Management
  • 5+ years’ experience in demolition construction projects preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Environmental Sciences or equivalent field OR equivalent experience
  • Valid Drivers License
