Job Description

Responsible for the management of the facilities and clinical oversight in Lynn Lake and Leaf Rapids.As a member of the management team, the Patient Care and Facility Manager’s primary responsibilities relate to patientcare and facility operations, Human Resources Management, Financial Management, policy development andprofessional standards, program planning, quality management, equipment/supplies/space management, in-serviceeducation, professional development, research, environmental management, committee participation, andcommunication.The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check andAdult Abuse Registry check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree in a regulated health profession from a recognized university. Other combinations of skills
and education may be considered
  • Current active practicing registration with the applicable College
  • Certificate in Health Care Administration preferred
  • Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, willingness to travel the Region year round
  • Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Three (3) years’ experience in areas of responsibility and related fields
  • Two (2) years first line, middle or senior administrative experience
  • Knowledge of evidence informed best practices and clinical care standards
  • Knowledge of patient safety and Accreditation Canada standards
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and health standards
  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of members of the health care team
  • Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
