  • 14 shifts-on / 14 shifts-off (days and nights)

At Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd., we are committed to fostering a culture that understands and values inclusion and diversity.The Opportunity: Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for experienced underground miners to join our Paste Crew at the Hemlo Operations in Marathon, ONWorking a rotation of 14-shifts on / 14-shifts offShifts are days and/or nights.Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the successful candidate will be responsible for their safety and the safety of their co-workers and install, maintain, monitor pasting operations underground.More specifically, our Paste Crew miners:
  • Comply with all safety and standard operating procedures and ensure the crews are also in compliance;
  • Install paste, water, air and pump pipes;
  • Install paste bulk-heads, pumps, reticulation;
  • Assist Service crew with ventilation duct installation;
  • Operate various service and auxiliary equipment underground;
Skills and Experience:
  • Commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
  • Previous experience in Paste or Service Crews in underground mining
  • Ontario Hard Rock Mining Common Core
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Must be reactive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to assist other crew members while being able to work independently;
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
