In this role the candidate will have the opportunity to exercise their technical and interpersonal skills while gaining valuable experience required for their career in engineering Stantec Consulting Ltd. provides an exceptional opportunity to learn through practical experience, expert supervision, and on-job training.Your Key ResponsibilitiesStudents will be introduced to a wide variety of geotechnical and materials consulting activities, including:Field work: Field inspection and testing on projects of all types including soils, asphalt and concrete.Laboratory testing: Typical lab testing for soils (sieve analysis, Proctors, moisture content, etc…), concrete and asphalt (Marshall testing, Marshall mix designs, etc…) for projects and research and development.Analysis: Desktop, computer, and project team analysis of information to identify and define solutions.Reporting: preparation of reports detailing the work carried out.QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentia lsMotivated, self-starter, who works well in a team environment.Must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.Must demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.Education and ExperienceCurrently enrolled in an Engineering Technology program at an accredited post-secondary institution. Experience is not a requirement. Training will be provided.Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Sometime will be spent in a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
