  • Month end processes including SAP settlements (labour, overhead and CATS), costing runs, update standard cost, quantity adjustments, etc.
  • Prepare theatre cost reports and send for review, accruing any outstanding costs and receiving final approvals
  • Inventory closing, work order settlements, comparison of GL to subledger and approval to open the next period
  • Quarterly overhead clearing & allocation; other cost allocation (soft cost allocations)
  • Reconciliation and troubleshooting intercompany transactions between IMAX entities
  • Reconciliation, analysis and preparation of monthly and quarterly inventory & costing schedules
  • Reconciliation of all inventory accounts (raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods).
  • Perform on-going Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and reporting
  • Assist in coordination of year-end inventory count process and reconciliation and understand the impact of adopting ABC cycle counting and adopt new review process
  • Ad hoc inventory and costing analysis
What we’re looking for:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent in business
  • Working towards CPA designation with several years of costing & inventory accounting experience
  • Advanced level Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables etc.)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Maintains ownership of responsibilities and takes initiative
  • Needs to be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
