We’re proud to be Canada’s leading provider of broadband network and communication services for businesses and governments.The successful candidate will directly support the end to end program working under the Senior Business Advisor and Program Manager. They will partner with the technical lead, contractors and developers. The candidate will work with external vendors such as CGI, Amdocs and IBM. We require highly motivated individuals, who thrive in a complex, versatile environment confronted with constant change They will apply creativity and innovation in the development of solutions essential to support our customer-facing divisions, and is able to lead change through cross-functional teams or business unit projects.The candidate will be responsible to work with end users and different vendors on a variety of projects related to new products introductions, new technology introductions and enhancements to existing processes or systems.Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Post secondary education with a business focus, or equivalent, and/or business degree as well as 3 –5 years in a Business Analysis role
  • Related work experience is essential and should include experience in process modeling as well as experience with multi-tiered application development, infrastructure and networking concepts and practices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated skill and experience leading multi-disciplinary JAD sessions
  • Demonstrated skill and experience dealing with multiple vendors in the creation of end to end solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Leadership experience defining requirements and solutions through the production of Business Requirement and System Requirement documentation
  • Absolute ability to see the business problem and drive the business solution, all through the eyes of the customer
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at a high level and dive into details when challenges arise
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and coordinate meetings, and to negotiate consensus from cross-functional teams
  • Understand and articulate IT concepts and issues from a business perspective
  • Willingness to manage own time, working extended hours when necessary to meet deliverables
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled post deployment system testing during off-hours
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio)
Preferred Skills/Competencies:
  • Familiarity with telecommunications, billing and / or customer care applications is a key asset
  • Familiarity with call centre technologies, both custom and off the shelf
  • Familiarity with call centre ordering tools/processes
  • General knowledge and ability to use MS-SQL data queries and extract data for analysis
  • Experience working closely with end-users to identify and establish requirements for, custom applications or package software in project mode or modification required to find a solution
  • Skilled at recommending changes in applications and systems and provide input on whether to patch or upgrade existing applications
  • Familiarity with reviewing and approving Design Specs
  • Establish systems/applications performance measurements
  • Assist in the definition of system resource needs (hardware)
  • Evaluate recommended solutions supplied by the vendors and give acceptance or recommend modification to the solution
  • Identify ways to better deploy existing technology or to modify processes to more effectively leverage the technology
  • Determine deployment strategy and release strategy in consultation with other team members
  • Develop quality test strategy/plan and validate that those standards are met
  • Prepare methods/documentation/procedure for the introduction for new or change systems or processes
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams, handling multiple projects with geographically dispersed team members.
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet hard deadlines and available to work occasional overnights to take part in deployment activities
  • Ability to travel within Montreal, Ottawa, London and Toronto corridors with little advance notification; travel depending on project needs
  • Fast paced, changing working environment
