The role applies basic theories to accomplish small scope assignments in a single area, providing timely, complete and consistent data reporting and analysis on a regular basis, leveraging internal systems and mining to compile reporting. The Analyst, Business Analytics uses judgement regarding priorities and approaches to provide decision-making support through analytics and commentary, assisting in metric analysis for requests received from the business. In addition, the role collaborates to contribute useful ideas, assisting the team with the delivery of insightful analysis. The successful candidate must be on site once a month.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You can effectively perform all work activities remotely, and will only be required to be on-site on an occasional basis.How You’ll Succeed

• Analyzing Business Requirements - Research and analyze specialized information and recommend solutions to issues and problems that arise during the ongoing operation of business
• Improving Process Efficiency - Identify, develop and implement routine operational process enhancements to increase the efficiency of the department
• Provide Process Consultation - Assess the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed change decisions and present recommendations to Senior Management to provide a perspective on the impact of change on the business
• Create Presentations to Share Information - Prepare and present reports to Management to keep them informed of the status of the projects, communicate upcoming changes and/or present recommendations
• Time Management and Accountability - Ability to meet very tight deadlines through effective prioritization. Ability to work independently with little direction in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
