We have also been recognized as Greater Toronto Top Employer’s for 2022 and Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2022.Position Summary:As a member of the Hershey Canada Category Management & Retail Evolution Team, the Category Analyst is responsible for bringing the power of data to the organization and external stakeholders in a meaningful and accessible way. The Category Analyst shapes future growth through analytics and an innovative approach to deeply understand shoppers, category performance, retailer dynamics, and broader macro trends. This knowledge and insight are leveraged to drive influence and solutions with internal and external stakeholders.The Analyst will partner with key stakeholders to provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise. You will be responsible for managing large volumes of data, multiple data sources and evolving priorities to build efficient solutions and capabilities rooted in data-driven insights and shopper behaviours. We are not looking for just a category manager, we are looking for a holistic insights professional.In this role, you will work with a team and share vendor advisor responsibilities for one of Canada’s largest retailers and across the various confection and baking categories. Providing full category insights, planogram support, strategy recommendations, and in-depth understanding of the confectionary and baking shopper.What will you do

• Execute solutions in-line with the short and long-term vision for Hershey Canada Category Management
• Uncover holistic analytical insights and leverage data driven storytelling to drive influence with cross functional teams and retail partners
• Collaborate with and develop actionable recommendations for key stakeholders and present them with confidence in a clear, concise manner.
• Support internal partners with data and business analysis
• Leverage multiple data sources including existing custom research, industry trend reports, loyalty data, Nielsen data, retailer POS, etc , to answer ad-hoc questions about category performance and shopper behaviour
• Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and retail partners

What We Need

• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent presentation skills with experience presenting to internal stakeholders and retail partners
• Experience in a previous vendor advisor or customer facing role considered an asset
• Experience with data tools (i.e. Nielsen MarketTrack, Strategic Planner, Homescan, Numerator)
• Experience with Retailer Loyalty Systems (Retail Link, LDIA, IRI, 1screen) considered an asset
• Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI) or previous shopper insights experience (Lucros, Shopper Pulse) considered an asset
• 2-5 years of sales, category analysis, insights, or business analysis experience
• Category management and/or previous vendor advisor experience is an asset

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or closely related field.
