Job Description

The Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport are hiring a Complex Sales Manager to join their Sales team!The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years Sales experience within the hotel industry, excellent knowledge of the local market, a team player and strong relationship building and negotiation skills. You will have a flexible approach with demonstrated ability to work well in a changing environment and a good understanding of revenue management. Previous experience with Delphi is preferred.About Our HotelsThe Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites features 420 guest rooms and located directly opposite Toronto-Pearson International Airport. The Toronto Congress Center and International Center are both within a seven minutes drive. The hotel provides 2,096 sq. metres of meeting space including a 929 sq. m. column-free ballroom with five-meter-high ceilings, and meeting rooms with natural light. This hotel has all the important amenities like free wifi, fitness centre and a hotel restaurant serving locally sourced dishes.The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport is located just a kilometer from Toronto Pearson International Airport, with a free shuttle available to our guests. The hotel features 224 guest rooms and 463 sq. metres of meeting space. The Garden Grille serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with evening room service, and our 24-hour Pavilion Pantry offers drinks and snacks.What will I be doingThe Complex Sales Manager for these two properties will book, manage and develop all large segments, including Canadian, US and International markets and foster business through pro-active direct sales.Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients
  • Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
  • Work within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities
  • Attend Sales events, as required
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Prospect and call outside client required
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs
What are we looking forA Complex Sales Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
  • 3+ years experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale
  • Knowledge of the local airport market
  • Knowledge of Delphi FDC and experience responding to leads via Cvent and Meeting Broker
  • Ability to prospect and make outside sales calls and be able to identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative
  • Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
