Our Corporate Security & Responsibility, Communications, Human Resources, Procurement & Value Creation and Real Estate teams work collaboratively to drive our corporate strategy forward.Reporting to the Senior Manager; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), we are excited to be hiring a strategic DEI practitioner or DEI subject-matter expert to join Bell’s Corporate Services DEI Office. This individual will collaborate closely with other DEI consultants and team members to advance on the Company’s DEI journey; and prime projects and activities towards creating a more inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace.Job Core Responsibilities

  • Project Management. As a team member of the DEI Office, this individual will work in collaboration with other DEI consultants, internal stakeholders, external partners and vendors to create from conception, plan, coordinate, execute and assess simultaneous DEI initiatives and programs.
  • DEI Corporate Liaison. The individual will liaise closely with internal business units committees and employee resources groups on an on-going basis, to advise on corporate organizational goals and priorities, collect feedback from diverse stakeholders and provide DEI guidance and subject-matter expertise, as needed.
  • Partnership Management. Maintaining effective, productive and harmonious relationships with DEI partner organizations, the individual will periodically meet to ensure contract compliance, align inclusion and equity priorities, and find available opportunities or develop new ones.
  • Events Management. In close collaboration with our Events Specialist, the individual will prepare, coordinate and deliver a large variety of internal events, engagement activities, and speaking opportunities aimed at celebrating Bell Inclusion Months throughout the year.
  • Community Management. On a daily basis, the individual reviews online communication tactics, including the use and nurturing of our online Collaboration community groups, and makes recommendations for our intranet and newsletter articles on Bellnet, assisting with the promotion plans and operationalizing of these plans.
  • Learning and Awareness. Together with educators, vendors and other learning subject-matter experts, the individual will assess, co-design, co-develop, implement, sustain and monitor effective, integrated, impactful and strategic DEI related learning and development opportunities.
  • DEI Measurement and Analytics. The individual will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and data analysts to collect, analyze, report and present information requested by our Governance framework, and the Federal applicable laws on Employment Equity, Pay Equity and Accessibility.
  • Human Resources Management. Together with HR practitioners, the candidate will ensure current and future recruitment, accommodation, recognition, promotion and retention processes and procedures are free of biases, and policies and practices promote a welcoming, fair and respectful workplace.
  • External Awards and Reporting. The individual will manage the strategy, stakeholder coordination, information gathering, and application submission for various awards, nominations and recognitions at multiple levels; as well as DEI business and strategic reports, and updates to share externally.
Critical Qualifications / Competencies
  • Has at least 2-5 years of demonstrated DEI work experience with a track record of designing and delivering programs and solutions to further drive an inclusive and equitable culture
  • Has obtained a project management diploma or relevant experience involving a portfolio of numerous, simultaneous and diverse initiatives and programs
  • Works under pressure as a collaborative project prime and team member, including others’ voices and suggestions in high-quality deliverables and measurable actions
  • Carefully supervises the details and quality of own and others work, with the ability to work at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Demonstrates excellent soft and communication skills, both verbal and written, in a fast-paced digital environment
  • Focuses on driving for results thanks to outstanding critical thinking and analytical abilities in an agile working environment
  • Understands change management and anticipates and plans for potential barriers when influencing change, with continuous improvement and learning mindset
  • Has ability to initiate and partake in challenging conversations with a constructive and educational approach when required
