Job Description

We are looking to hire a Customer Care agent for our Air Freight (Pharma and Healthcare) division in Mississauga.Your RoleThis is a customer focused role that requires the ability to build and develop long-term partnerships with all our internal and external partners, along with the keen ability to listen, communicate, transfer information, handle escalations and provide solutions. This role will manage all day-to-day logistics activities required for the transportation of Pharmaceutical temp controlled shipments. Adherence to GDP standards is required for this role, and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the GDP standards is critical to this role.Your ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate & monitor the transportation and movements of goods;Follow K+N operations policies, procedures and standards, and ensure compliance with CIFFA regulations, as well as comply with all KN PharmaChain/GDP regulations.Arrange for transport/shipping documentation and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of goods and monitoring movement of goods;Arrange for insurance coverage for cargo;Monitor holds or discrepancies in the movement of goods;Resolve problems and provide ongoing support;Proactive response to service issues;Communicate with Airfreight carriers and subcontractors;Gathering of claim documents and facts if claims is involved; Work closely with customer service representative;Coordinate with third party warehouses truckers, customs brokers and other service providers to ensure end to end temperature control is maintained and integrity of Pharmaceutical products is protected at all times.Arrange rush cheque payments;Collect COD payments;Arrange delivery or handover to 3rd parties;Data entry and ensuring data quality;Taking responsibility to ensure the smooth flow of the movement of shipments, resolving any discrepancies in the movement;Notify customer/customer service of any delays/holds;Other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the company.Sound knowledge of handling of temperature controlled pharmaceutical products.Working knowledge of various active (Envirotainer, CSafe) and passive (thermal blankets, Softbox, Pelican) packaging solutions used in the transportation of temp controlled Pharmaceutical products.Your Skills and ExperiencesProfessional experience required:3-5 years’ experience in the Freight Forwarding or logistics business.Knowledge required:Preferred working knowledge of transportation systems, as well as Incoterms and payment terms. Sound knowledge of Pharmaceutical shipping including all KN PharmaChain, GDP, and local regulations relevant to transporting temperature controlled products.Education required:Minimum Highschool DegreePreferred CIFFA (Canadian Internationl Freight Forwarders Certificate) and CCSPreferred Degree/Diploma in International Business, Transportation, Logisitcs, CommerceSkills required:Excellent communication • Proficient computer and keyboarding (Microsoft Word & Excel) Proficient in handling of temp sensitive productStrong organizational and time management , including the proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines • Problem resolution • Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team required.This job is not eligible for international relocation support or work permit sponsorship.Kuehne+Nagel Canada welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
