The Data Quality Analyst will work alongside the data warehouse and engineering team to provide data related support, data investigation, research, data management and data reporting. The Data Quality Analyst role will troubleshoot and investigate data anomalies and issues along with working directly with the data engineers to follow through and get the issues fixed. This person will also assist in building predictive systems to help catch issues before they arise and assist in building and support financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in joining a lean, innovative group with the possibility of tremendous career development in Data Analysis and Master Data management.As our Data Quality Analyst you will be instrumental in analyzing data discrepancies and data lineage in Customer, Employee and Film Data sets and assist with solving data related problems. This is a brand new position and will report to the Director, BI and Data Management.What you’ll be doing:Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasetsBuild proactive data validation automation to catch data integrity issuesAbility to work with SAP Master data sets that specifically involve Customer, Employee and Material Master DataAbility to organize and lead meetings with business and operational data leadersCoordinate and communicate between business users and the data warehouse organization, balancing requirements and resources to solve business problemsStrong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data related issuesAbility to construct data models and provide data design ideasWork closely with engineering and operations to document data workflowsWork independently and with team members to understand database structure and business processesIdentify opportunities to improve data and business processes utilizing data preparation toolsHelp form data management and governance processes within the data engineering teamCollaborate with and offer insights into different internal teams from Data Warehouse and Engineering to Operations, Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance.Work with Data Engineers to extract raw data from numerous data sources and aggregate it into cohesive data sets via ETL (extracting, transforming and loading) to ensure data is accurate and stable.Build and analyze automated dataset dashboards to predict issues before they arise, identify bugs in data and resolve them.Communicate and present on technical information with non-technical team members and stakeholdersWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree or college diploma or equivalent experience in Data Analysis, Data Quality, Master Data Development or technology related field.5 - 8 years experience working in a technical related role such as data analyst, data science, data quality, master data managementExperience working in a SAP FICO module and financial master data an assetExperience working with HR related data quality issues and process challengesStrong understanding standard SAP Order to Cash process flow an assetAbility to use computer applications and database management tools including, but not limited to, SQL, MS Office programsAbility to independently manage multiple priorities and to proactively service multiple internal clients in a fast-paced environmentAbility to review, access, and provide detailed information daily as an independent thinkerExcellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.Ability to plan and facilitate data quality working sessions with business teamsThe ideal candidate will have:Problem Solver This role requires a skilled problem-solver who loves to build things that are useful for others.
