Danish Pastry House is seeking a dynamic and talented Daytime Baker for their production facility on the Mississauga/Oakville border.This is a full-time day shift position and successful candidates will be required to have weekend availability.Responsibilities:· Preparation of a variety of desserts, pastries and other baked goods for bakery cafes· Follow company health and safety policies and processes· Must maintain food quality and hygiene standardsSkills and Experience· Minimum 2 year’s experience scratch baking in a professional bakery is an asset· 2 years professional baking is an asset· 2 years food handling is an asset· 2 years scratch baking is an asset· Energetic with a positive work ethic· Able to multi-task· Reliable and able to work independently with confidence· Able to work as a team under the Department Manager· Must be able to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment· Strong communication skill· Able to read instructions and follow directions in English· Strong organizational skills and time management skills· Must be accountable for the quality and standard of products produced· Able to pay attention to detail-First Aid, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety familiarity-Food handling certificationImmediate StartDanish Pastry House is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
