Working in partnership with the Development team, the Development Coordinator will provide administrative support and deliver best-in-class donor engagement.What You’ll DoYou will be an active member of TMFB’s Development (fundraising) team by executing the following:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Director of Development and development team with a focus on corporate and community partnerships. The Mississauga Food Bank (TMFB) works with 500+ event/food drive organizers annually.
  • Provide excellent donor service by:
  • Coordinating campaign logistics for 3rd party fundraising and food drives by responding to and communicating with donors via email and phone
  • Liaising internally with warehouse operations staff when booking transportation and responding to enquiries
  • Overseeing the scheduling and booking of corporate volunteer teams
  • Provide support to users of the peer-to-peer online giving platform, ensuring donor satisfaction. Liaise with the Corporate Partnerships Officer and Community Partnerships Coordinator to support donors who want to use the system.
  • Assist with data entry and donor mailings or phone calls
  • Support other activities of TMFB, as required
What You’ll Bring
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a charity or non-profit, event management, or administration environment
  • A college diploma or university degree in a relevant field
What Skills, Competencies, and Qualities You Bring
  • Passion. A passion for mission-driven work and personal values aligned with those of TMFB. Concern for and interest in issues of poverty, food security, and/or social justice
  • Technical. Skills in MS Office and/or Google Apps for business; experience with CRM software database solutions, Raiser’s Edge 7/NXT preferred. Prefer a digital solution to an analogue one. TMFB is a cloud-based, paperless environment
  • Flexibility/Adaptability/Innovation. Flexible, versatile, and/or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency. Role DetailsScope: $6 million + in cash donations and 950,000 pounds of food raised from the public and food drivesRelationships: This position reports to the Director of Development, is a member of the Development Team, and works closely with the Operations team.
