The eCommerce intern will report into the Senior eCommerce Manager & support the team with specific tasks that are crucial to the growth of our business with our Omnichannel retail partners.A day in the life of an eCommerce Intern

  • As an ecommerce intern, you will support the team in the creation of performance reports and develop recommendations on areas of sales & media optimization. As an intern, you will be responsible for the below areas:
eCommerce Sales & Media Analysis
  • Support the eCommerce Analyst with sales & media analysis (OMNI accounts + Amazon)
    • Gather key information required to ensure the follow-up
    • Identify main KPI and create reports
    • Bring your recommendations
    • Present findings & recos to internal cross-functional teams
  • Assist with eCommerce site audits & competitive tracking
  • Work on benchmarking
    • Benchmark to Nestle Canada and Purina US
    • Audit of new ecommerce trends
eContent & Digital Shelf
  • Provide support to Assistant eCommerce Manager through eContent briefing processes for all brands
  • Participate in various web projects that may involve user experience & design ideation
  • Assist with product content – optimizing product pages for 300+ SKUs, learning/integrating search best practices
  • Digital Shelf portfolio maintenance – adding innovations, removing discos, share of search & content integrity reporting using industry-leading tools (Edge, Salsify, Syndigo, etc.)
  • Assist with Amazon product expansion (ie. virtual bundles, full case) and analysis of opportunities
  • Participate in beta test media campaigns & collaborate on new initiatives – ie. LDMIs (Instacart, Cornershop), eContent pilots, Promo capabilities, etc.
  • Provide input into digital media campaigns & creative asset development with cross-functional teams
What will make you successfulAs the successful candidate, you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will already have great project management and analytical skills coupled with your highly organised, conscientious approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential. You will also:
  • Currently undergoing a university degree in business, with a preference in marketing, digital or eBusiness
  • Digital marketing background – online media, search, google analytics
  • Understanding of eCommerce landscape in Canada – Amazon, Walmart, Loblaws, Instacart
  • Strong Excel/ PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to multi-task many projects at once
  • Some creative experience is a nice to have – ie. Photoshop, web dev.
