You will perform tasks and duties directly impacting Good Manufacturing Practice and productivity.In this role it is essential to perform Continental shift work.What will do youEssential Functions:Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshoots electronic/electrical components on production and building support equipment.Performs equipment and systems’ electrical/electronics up grades to company safety standards.Performs calibration of electronic sensors, control devices and instrumentation, including environmental controls.Liaises with internal/external customers/inspections related to area of expertise.Maintains updated records of changes on documents such as manuals, schematics, drawings, etc.Maintains automation systems, electro-pneumatic circuits and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming.Other duties as required.How will you get thereEducation:Ontario Electrical License (442 or 309A) is required.Experience:Minimum 5 yrs hands-on experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron PLC’s and Variable.Competencies:Knowledge of Frequency Drives.Proven skills in the field of electronics .Previous work experience in a controlled and regulated environment.Ability to work from diagrams, schematics and specs.CMMS experience is an asset.Continental shift work is required.Familiar with GMPs, GAMP4/5 and 21 CFR part 11.Strong written and oral communication skills.Detail oriented and organized, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.Excellent judgment, decision making and troubleshooting skills.Ability to multi-task, meeting tight timelines in a fast paced environment.Proficient with the English language.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
