Job Description

Adecco is hiring Full Time Facilities Technician in Mississauga! Our client, Radial is recognized as one of the worlds leading logistics company in eCommerce operations. This is a long-term opportunity with high possibility of getting hired on permanently within 3 months! To be qualified for this role, you must reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work Full Time 40 hours+ per week.The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing, with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.

  • Pay rate: $27.00/hour
  • Start date: Immediate
  • Location: 6100 Freemont Blvd (Transit Accessible)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am. weekends required as needed.

Facilities Technician Responsibilities:
  • Assists other Technicians and/or Mechanics in the repair and maintenance of equipment Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
  • Responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures.
  • Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs key components for the Fulfillment Center
  • Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems and maintenance area as appropriate
  • Completes work orders, other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Working at heights of 40ft or more will be required.
  • Assists with maintaining inventory of company supplied tools.
  • Must be willing and able to be certified on powered industrialequipment.
  • Performs general facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc.
  • Other duties as instructed by supervision/management.
Warehouse Worker Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will also consider experience and/or military service.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation is required.
  • Strong electrical background, knowledge of low voltage controls and PLC. Required prior experience and/or working knowledge of:
  • Conveyor and/or sortation
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting Solid electrical troubleshooting Solid controls troubleshooting
  • Preventative/predictive maintenance Modification and upgrade support Installation
  • Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues
  • Excellent hand and eye coordination skills
  • Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in English
  • Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory
  • Command of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)
  • Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time
  • Safely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Must possess visual acuity to read fine print as needed.
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
