Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor to join our team! As a Video Editor at our company especially for Tik Tok and Reels , you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing photos and videos for internal and external purposes and uploading to Facebook, Instagram and also to our Youtube Channels.As video has become the best way for communicating a companys messages on online platforms, your position will play an important role in our Team’s success.This is a freelancer-based position, which means youll be responsible for planning and shooting 1 day of videos per week and create a suite of videos / post-product around them in video form for Youtube, Linkedin, Facebook, TikTok, Reels and more.Video Editor job description should contain the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Capture studio-quality photographs and videos
  • Using Video to improve the Branding and increase Facebook / Instagram Followers.
  • Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing and special effects
  • Manage our Youtube Channels and use Tubebuddy to improve the Youtube performance
  • Using Canva or other softwares to create compelling covers for Vertical/Horizontal Videos.
  • Work with our other teammates
  • Work both on and off-site
  • Follow the companys brand guidelines
  • Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy
  • Be at office minimum 1 days every week (Office is in Mississauga, Ontario) and go on Video recording Trips to attractive locations, Clients new Homes, construction sites, etc.
Video Editor job description should contain the following requirements and qualifications:
  • Prior knowledge of TikTok/Reels, including how to film, edit and use TikTok features.
  • Knowledge of the trends and popular “sounds” being used through TikTok/Reels.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a video specialist or similar role
  • Experience of using video and editing equipment
  • Must own their own video / photo equipment
  • Creative thinker and can plan + manage any videos going out
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics are preferred.
