Job Description

The Bail Supervision and Verification Program is hiring a Bail Supervisor. The position is 35 hours/week, with a start date of August 8th, 2022.The position will be primarily based out of the Mississauga location but could be cross jurisdictional and will require occasional travel to Halton or Dufferin. The position will also require weekend court coverage based on the needs of the bail team.The Bail Supervisor is responsible for supervision and case management of clients along with court-based responsibilities. Potential clients are assessed for program suitability, provides service planning and support to individuals who are on bail and awaiting trial and deposition. It will address immediate needs and risk factors associated with involvement in the criminal justice system.The worker will assess the individuals needs in order to develop the plan of supervision including but not limited to establishing reporting requirements, working directly with them to access housing, medical services, treatment/counselling, and attending appointments.Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years case management experience is preferred
  • Understanding of working with clients involved in the criminal justice system
  • Understanding of the criminal justice system
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in current approaches for mental health
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written and computer literacy
  • Reliable Judgment and maintenance of boundaries is required when dealing with clients and other service providers
  • A valid license with access to own vehicle required as this position will routinely work out of more than one location
