The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the high cleaning standards, as set out by Management, with respect to washrooms, windows, elevators, escalators, floor work, and general housekeeping duties as outlined.

  • This is a part-time position. The hours/days may be changed from time to time to suit the operational needs of the Shopping Centre. Hours can vary between 24.5-26 hours/week.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensure all garbage containers are emptied and liners replaced on a continual basis
  • Ensure floor areas are swept clean and high areas dusted at all times
  • Cleaning of floor debris / spills. Wet and dry mopping
  • Cleaning of washrooms including but not limited to floors, sinks, mirrors, toilets, partitions and to general washroom elements. Replenish of paper and soap products
  • Cleaning of mall elements including furniture, waste collection containers, lights, fire hose cabinets, and telephones
  • Cleaning of elevators, escalators glass and associated panels
  • Cleaning of service corridors
  • Cleaning debris from mall entrances
  • Cleaning of mall glass, including metal frames
To succeed in this role, you:
  • High School/Secondary Diploma
  • Must have knowledge of WHMIS legislation
  • 2 years prior housekeeping experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to walk long distances on hard flooring
  • Ability to work off a ladder (between 6-8’ height), in order to clean areas that are not easily accessible
  • Ability to lift up to 20 Lbs
