Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan and arrange the international IMPORT and EXPORT consignments according to client instructions and requirements
  • Send pre-alert for export shipment and receive pre-alert documents for import consignments
  • End to end monitoring of inbound and outbound movements.
  • Opening of files and issuing notices of arrival and export AWB and BL for Sea and Air Shipments
  • Booking of import/export air, FCL and LCL movements
  • Day to day invoicing and job costing
  • Communication with overseas offices/partners
  • Obtaining release from shipping lines and airlines, when required
  • Regularly updating customers monthly rates
  • Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting Manager
  • Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 1-2 years experience in logistics coordination
  • Experience in a freight forwarding company an asset
  • Good telephone manner and customer service skills are essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Friendly, calm and professional manner
  • Ability to handle pressure and good time-management
  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivated
  • Previous experience/knowledge in freight forwarding preferred
