Job Description

A Day in the LifeThe Inside Sales Specialist provides expertise and comprehensive packaging solutions to current, new and inbound customers. They guide and support customers on their journey with Vessel and help grow existing customer’s business. As Vessel’s liaison with the public, the Inside Sales Specialist is responsible to ensure that every customer has an outstanding experience that they are enthusiastic about sharing with others in the industry.Accountabilities

  • Inbound Inquiries:
    • Provide expert information and advice to potential customers
    • Direct potential Key Account Prospects to the Business Development team
    • Convert inquiries to customers and support them in their journey with Vessel
    • Prepare quotes as needed
  • New Customer Onboarding:
    • Provide new customers with onboarding guidance and ensure that all required paperwork is complete in a timely manner
    • Provide detailed information about the label development process, introduce approved suppliers and support the customer throughout the process
    • Provide details of the canning process when required and work closely with the team members to ensure the customer’s success from order placement to filled cans
  • Service larger warehouse customers in your territory (Excluding designated key accounts or smaller CX accounts)
    • Provide expert advice and support for all projects
    • Guide customers on the effective use of our orders entry system when required
    • Lead new projects for customers on everything from labels to mobile canning
    • Work with the Customer Experience team to ensure effective account management and retention
    • Respond quickly to customer concerns and ensure that the Customer Experience is a prioritized
    • Foster a strong cross-functional approach to our business and ensure ambiguity is minimized for the customer
    • Collaboratively maintain AR at or below specified levels
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in food and beverage
  • Experience in customer service, customer support or similar function
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
  • Ability to collaborate with team members as well as work independently
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office and G-Suite required
  • Proficiency in ERP/CRM software an asset
  • Valid Class 5 or G Class driver’s license or equivalent
