  • Perform proactive remote and on-site tech support to employees for networking, hardware and/or software.
  • Troubleshoot employees’ technical issues and fully document actions and results.
  • Configure new computer equipment (i.e., Firewalls, Servers, Wi-Fi, networking, NAS drives, Access Points, switches, printers, scanners etc.). Unifi Knowledge is an asset.
  • Create and document internal processes and procedures and follow existing processes and guidelines for routine tasks.
  • Preparing and setting up required equipment for new hire onboarding.
  • Conduct research to aid in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Provide after-hours support and maintenance to employees and their systems as required. This is for the primary goal of minimizing employee downtime.
  • Available for after-hour/weekend on-call support based on a rotating schedule.
  • Working as a team (with other technicians and management) to improve customer service, client perception and satisfaction.
  • Responding to employees in a timely manner once notified of an issue.
  • Document all work performed, as it is performed, in our SolarWinds Documentation tool.
  • Perform regular backup test restores to ensure backups are being performed properly. Veeam experience is an asset.
  • Participate in team meetings by reporting on status of to-dos, quarterly initiatives, and metrics
  • Identify and resolve service delivery and employee issues.
  • Quickly and properly analyze an issue and take the proper steps to resolve it or elevate it to the proper resource for resolution.
  • Proactively monitor internal support queue to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Degree, diploma or certificate in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience using SharePoint and providing IT support
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365
  • A+ Certification
  • Experience administering Hyper V, an asset
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to Office 365, Azure, AWS etc., an asset
  • MCSE equivalent in currently supported Microsoft technology, an asset
  • Certifications from other vendors, an asset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Strong team player and customer oriented
  • Possesses patience when working with others
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, even in situations without authority
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
