Job Description

Having been awarded the highest accolades in the roofing industry, our team thrives on excellence.This role will report directly to the Senior Estimator and is mainly responsible for analyzing costs and assisting the estimating team in preparation of bids and tends for new construction and re-roofing projects. Core working hours are Monday to Friday between 8:00AM and 5:00PM.Responsibilities

  • Preform area and perimeter calculations.
  • Preparing takeoffs and estimates for assigned jobs.
  • Preparing and following up on proposals and bid forms submissions.
  • Preparing project work orders.
  • Conduct site takeoffs for re-roofing projects.
  • Preparing roof condition reports.
  • Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
  • Participate in internal project handoff meetings.
Requirements
  • College diploma or post-graduate certificate in an industry relevant program.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans and specifications.
  • Must be comfortable handling and climbing ladders.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and pdf editing software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good organization and time management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per yearBenefits:

Schedule:
  • 10 hour shift

  • Mississauga, ON L5T 2B3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
  • Construction Estimating: 1 year (preferred)
  • Blueprint reading: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
  • G Driving Licence (required)
