They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass.The Junior SP Project Manager is expected to exercise initiative and use good judgment to work with customers, vendors, and internal resources professionally and courteously to complete projects on schedule, within the estimated budget, and to foster win-win relationships.Job Summarya. Manage orders through scheduling, material procurement, and production phasesb. Assist in managing and entering large SP project orders.c. Review the new order file with the estimating team and customer to clarify the anticipated scope, schedule, and order price.d. Promptly create accurate orders and jobs in Epicor.e. Answers customer inquiries/communications as required. Seek assistance in answering questions when unable to answer independently.f. Coordinate material releases with other OBE team members as required and check for consistency with the order.g. Work with the purchasing department to procure quality material that meets the projects schedule and budget.h. Maintain organized detailed and complete project files and records.i. Adhere to corporate policies and guidelines.j. Field and respond promptly and professionally to customer and co-worker requests.k. Learn and accept training on products and systems.l. Seek efficiency and accuracy improvements and work with other Project Coordinators / CRS and Standard Project Manager and other team members to develop and implement.m. Actively ensuring the retention of the organization’s customer base, which includes promoting the organization to existing customers.n. Performs related work as required.o. Learn new software and assist in the training of others on how to use the software.p. Accept special assignments as presented with enthusiasm and complete in a timely and professional mannerRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities1. Knowledge of:a. The principles, practices, techniques, and methods of project managementb. MS word and excelc. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD2. Skill:a. High level of written and verbal communication.3. Ability to:a. Set priorities to manage multiple projects and customer inquiries concurrently while maintaining deadlines.b. Persuade customers and other OBE team members in a professional manner to achieve a successful project while developing working relationships.c. Interpret scope of work documents including, but not limited to, purchase orders, specifications, drawings, and other documents.d. Gather and analyze appropriate, relevant data to prepare and present concise and complete reports.e. Communicate professionally and effectively orally and in writing.f. Work and communicate effectively with all people contacted at work.g. Deal courteously with all customers, internal and external, and obtain from them the information necessary to achieve the desired resultsh. Willing and capable of attending meetings at customer locations, job sites, vendors, etc., in Canada and the US.i. Work in and foster a team environment.Acceptable Experience and TrainingAny acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent to an Engineering Technician diploma/degree and one (1) or more years of successful industry experience, OR an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.What CRH Americas Offers You
