Job Description

The Opportunity:The Marketing Manager, North American Foodservice ABF & RWA is an exciting opportunity to help the Foodservice function advance our credo to ‘build a growth culture, rooted in fundamentals and discipline, with superior customer partnerships’. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Strategy & Insights - Foodservice, this dynamic role fuses strategic planning, business and insights analysis and project management to drive the growth against key North American Foodservice Strategies:

  • Unlocking volume & profit potential with emphasis on expanding our footprint in the US
  • Leveraging our Sustainability platform to grow our RWA/ABF portfolio with new and existing customers across North America
This successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, analytical, strategic thought leader with a passion for driving growth.Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
  • Support the building of strategies and plans to leverage our Sustainability platform with Foodservice customers across North America (Better Food, Better Care, Better Planet, Better Communities)
  • Assist with the development of both short-term and longer-term strategic plans for RWA in Canada and ABF in the USA
  • Work with pork optimization, retail sustainable meats team and other cross-functional teams to identify new RWA/ABF opportunities to marry internal raw material availability with plant capacity and capabilities – always with eye to consumer first
  • Analyze and recommend profit optimization (managing mix by top grading SKUs) opportunities where capacity may be an issue, but profit expansion is eminent with and RWA/ABF SKU in lieu of a conventional one
  • Lead commercialization of ABF portfolio in the USA and support the Canadian RWA market with strategic leadership and roadmap to growth. Note RWA commercialization in Canada will be executed by the existing category teams
  • Be the center of excellence of the RWA/ABF business for Foodservice North America
  • Triage sales requests with a lens to consumer first
  • Lead customer bids from inception to delivery and manage the full P&L
  • Responsible and accountable for business performance and quarterly reporting to the Director and VP
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
  • 5+ years Sales, Marketing or Strategy experience
  • CPG Retail and/or Foodservice industry experience would be an asset
  • Commercial Acumen, Budget Planning and P&L understanding
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and highly proficient in Excel
  • An effective team player with well-developed people-skills demonstrated through a proven ability to successfully navigate and influence a complex organization
  • A creative thinker with a passion for Marketing, an appetite to learn and challenge the status quo
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive and performance driven, have a bias for action and be able to work under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Communication skills to take complex problems and communicate them simply and effectively to a variety of audiences, achieving desired outcomes
  • Strong followership
