Job Description

OverviewMaster Demand Planner Team Leader is responsible to drive all forecast activities across Baylis globally to ensure Baylis’ operations are producing accurate quantities of the right product, time and region efficiently, and cost-effective to Business plans and recent trends. They will facilitate in all demand planning duties with Demand planner(s) including predicting future product demand in alignment with Sales, Marketing and Finance; analyze historical and projected product, plant, production lines and regions to develop robust SKU forecast models to fulfill KPIs in service, inventory, and cost.Snapshot of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for global demand planning and multi-site production capacity models to deliver inventory/customer requirements for new and existing products to meet organizational goals
  • Maintain strong working relationship with Sales, Marketing, Finance and within Operations to proactively resolve significant forecast inaccuracy and responsible for continuous improvement along with Supply Chain leadership
  • Align Production Plant level requirements of direct customer demand, product development projects, engineering build requirements within capacity
  • Lead monthly S&OP process with necessary reporting, investigations and action plans to complete cycle
  • Monitor long-term production planning and lead risk assessments and mitigation activities related to production capacity. Communicate risks, propose and implement solutions with senior management.
  • Coordinate the impact of changes on other stakeholders and existing linkages.
  • Lead modelling of historical sales trends, research demand drivers, forecast data, statistical forecast algorithms, and measure forecast results over time
  • Develop product inventory strategies (high runners, new products, substitutions, end life…) to the Supply Chain/Planning team.
  • Lead supply chain improvement projects as assigned
  • Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.
  • Update customers and sales team about product availabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.
  • Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.
What you bring to the team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant fields
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Experience managing a team is an asset
  • 5 years of work experience in the role of demand planning/forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of methods and processes for inventory and supply chain management
  • Strong statistical and mathematical skills leveling functionality with an ERP system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
