Oxford Learning Mississauga Meadowvale is looking for a dynamic and motivated Education Administrator to help students find their way to a better school future.Work with kids and their families to help students of all ages achieve academic success. Oxford Learning programs impart new approaches to learning, designed to last a lifetime. We teach students from pre-school to post-secondary levels how to learn, concentrate, listen, remember. But most importantly, to believe in themselves as they reach their academic dreams. Helping kids realize their dreams and overcome school challenges is passionate work.This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online job.Responsibilities (Position Details):As the Education Administrator you participate in the centres operations, including working with multiple people from centre staff to teachers, to parents, and of course, the students! You will work directly with the Centre Director as a key staff member with the following responsibilities:

  • Answering telephone and e-mail inquiries
  • Conducting assessments on new students
  • Helping to design academic programs for students
  • Helping to train and evaluate teachers
  • Teaching small groups as needed
  • Making connections with students, parents and new clients
  • Effectively master the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy as well as coach other teaching members of the team
  • Helping create a fun and energetic learning environment in our centres every day!
We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:Education:
  • Minimum university degree - Post-secondary Education in Child & Youth Care and/or Social Work preferred
  • Strong secondary school mathematics skills are an asset
  • Additional language(s) spoken is an asset
Experience:
  • Highly organized and adaptable when new tasks unexpectedly arise
  • Able to think on your feet
  • A master at managing competing priorities
  • Personable, friendly, outgoing, creative, confident, and energetic
  • Confident in communicating with students, parents and school teachers in person and on the phone
  • Comfortable conducting seminars, workshops and teacher training
  • Able to co-ordinate schedules for students and teachers and help manage centre events
  • Strong phone skills and Customer Service experience in client facing roles
  • Strong Communication Skills, verbal and written
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s license and a car
  • MUST live in Greater Toronto Area, preferably near our Mississauga centres
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, online communication apps)
