Job Description

Whole Health Pharmacy-Dundas is a pharmacy located within a family health team which prioritizes patient health all in one place. By working closely with our neighboring physicians, we ensure that all aspects of our patient’s health is taken care of to help achieve the best medication therapy and health outcomes. We are prompt to provide services which increase patient adherence, preventative health and regular understanding of current drug therapies.Whole Health Pharmacy-Cooksville is looking to further expand. We are seeking a pharmacy assistant to become part of our pharmacy team!Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and booking for pharmacy professional services
  • Efficiently and correctly complete computer prescription order entry and claim adjudication under pharmacist’s supervision
  • Troubleshoot adjudication concerns with insurance providers, patient support programs and provincial providers
  • Prepare compliance packaged medication for pharmacist review
  • Preparing all technical aspects of dispensing to be reviewed by pharmacist
  • Answer phones and checks voicemail messages
  • General housekeeping, stocking supplies, keeping dispensing area clean, and maintaining dispensing equipment
  • Assist with pick and drop area of pharmacy
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control of dispensary and OTC products on a daily basis
Skills and Experience:
  • 1 year of pharmacy assistant experience (preferred), dispensing medications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent teamwork amongst pharmacy team as well as clinic team
  • Excellent analytical, communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in KROLL dispensing software
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the requirements of our evolving business
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where high attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
