  • Manages the preventative maintenance program by generating, separating, distributing, and tracking all preventative maintenance tasks for all trades at Mississauga location.
  • Determine and analyze failure points for each machine to create predictive maintenance plan to ensure downtime is limited and the machines/equipment are optimized for production
  • Analyze and control overall preventative maintenance budget by understanding where money is being spent, how much is being spent to make recommendations on how we can improve moving forward
  • Develop preventative maintenance SOP to ensure each preventative maintenance task is logged and tracked appropriately
  • Create, implement, and manage work order process for Mississauga by ensuring work order database is maintained with complete and accurate information by partnering with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Coordinates with outside contractors to ensure assigned work is completed in a safe and compliant manner by ensuring they are aware of any potential hazards in the area, have signed the required paperwork and have been approved to work on site, as well as providing them with the materials necessary to complete the job.
  • Lead weekly downtime meetings to advise amount of downtime that occurred during the previous week, the reason for the downtime, and how it could be avoided in the future.
  • Organizes and creates maintenance schedules to ensure scheduled maintenance tasks have all required parts available.
  • Assist QA team with Corrective Action Tracker program to manage food safety-related issues around the plant.
Your education & experience matters to us:
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous hands-on experience working in maintenance required
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of parts for manufacturing machinery/equipment required
  • Previous experience working with work order database/systems considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.
  • Working knowledge of knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS, and all other workplace H&S regulations
  • Team-player with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential
  • Advanced Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel)
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field

  • This position is Plant and Office based working with a great team!
  • Shift: Tuesday- Friday 9:00am-5:30pm; Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm
