As part of this plan, THP is growing the multi-disciplinary team that will lead planning for the redevelopment and expansion of both the Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre sites. With constant inputs on design and planning considerations from all the respective expertise on the team, our goal is to work together to ultimately produce a holistic and inclusive design.Position Overview:Trillium Health Partners is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Master Plan team. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Asset Management, the Project Manager will be responsible for supporting THP’s M Site project through the Clinical Administration (CA) Building Decant project.M Site project is a full replacement of the existing Mississauga Hospital. The new build will accommodate acute beds and a full complement of clinical and non-clinical support programs. The future home of the new Mississauga hospital is partially located on the footprint of the Clinical Administration Building, which is slated for demolition. To enable this project, office and clinical staff and programs, must be decanted across four different leased location within proximity to the hospital.Leveraging your experience in planning, design, and building infrastructure of health capital projects, and change management, the Project Manager will function as the main point of contact and lead for key deliverables between the hospital’s internal stakeholders, Consultants, contactors and the project team and advocate for quality design that supports THP’s mission.Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact with various consultants and contractors for critical deliverables for CA Decant project;
  • Bring best practises as it relates to modern workplace design trends and technology enablers
  • Support drawing, specification review, construction process and ensure alignment and coordination between multiple disciplines and priorities;
  • Support quality control and assurance activities during design development and construction phases;
  • Coordinate project budget development activities and risk management;
  • Coordinate plans with other agencies having jurisdiction, including but not limited to the City of Mississauga and Infrastructure Ontario;
  • Contribute to development of master schedule, construction schedule and phasing;
  • Plans, procures (including contract management) and oversees multi-disciplinary consulting expertise to achieve project goals;
  • Advocates for the application of best practice throughout all aspects of the project;
  • Supports and acts as a champion for THP’s vision and values in applying a high level of planning expertise and partner focus;
  • Build trusted relationships with the project team and key internal/external stakeholders to advance key initiatives;
  • Support communication with project working groups that are integral to the success of the project(s);
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood;
  • Other duties assigned, as required to meet timelines and deliverables.
Skills & QualificationsTHP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants
  • An undergraduate degree in architecture, engineering, interior design or diploma in a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the project management role, working in the design and construction sector.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
  • Knowledge in the planning and design of office and health capital infrastructure.
  • Knowledge in change management processes would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to put together decks and present to senior leaders with ease.
  • Strong budget and project management skills.
  • Strong conceptual skills; systems thinking and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Superior analytical, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a dynamic, professional team.
  • Demonstrated, skilled people management and staff development with emphasis on coaching, mentoring and leadership.
  • Skilled at executive stakeholder management.
Location:We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary works space will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy.
