We recognize you and reward you. We win together as one team.As a Quality Analyst I “ you will be responsible for logging the receipt of all components returned from Service Agencies. You will conduct laboratory testing of components that have been replaced during warranty service. This also applies to internal failures.Reporting directly to the Quality Manager “ this position will be located in Mississauga, Ontario.Major Accountabilities:Maintain a log of all parts and checklists returned. Match parts with the checklist and claim.¢ Analyze warranty and production data as well as test internal and external failed components.¢ Determine root cause, evaluate failure mode and define corrective action of failed components.Perform other job-related duties as requested to support quality, production and engineering.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:1. Maintain a log of all parts returned. Match parts with checklist and claim.2. Maintain a log of all Service Checklists returned.3. Analyze warranty and production data to determine root cause and improve processes/design. Report and present data.4. Work with engineering to establishes test protocols.5. Perform testing and troubleshooting of field returns and internal failures. Define corrective actions.6. Evaluate the failure mode of returned parts.7. Support Product Engineers with returning parts to Suppliers and defining root cause of failures.8. Perform other job-related duties as requested.Job Requirements:College Engineering Diploma or working towards one. C.Q.E. or C.R.E. in progress.Working knowledge of desktop office software, Excel, Word, etc.Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English languageStrong analytical capabilitiesAble to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks and work with Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Procurement and Service Managers on multiple simultaneous projectsMust be able to work flexible hoursWorking knowledge of materials, mechanical and electrical devices.Working knowledge of computer-based testing and data collection equipment. Minitab preferredExperience with mechanical equipment, and manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, fabrication welding, assembly processes, electrical circuits and gas technologyThis position is fast paced and requires employee to spend time in the engineering lab and on the shop floor. There will be times when this position will work with unionized hourly employees. This position will interact with internal contacts in Materials, Production, Customer Service, and Quality.
