Job Title: Regional Customer Service CoordinatorJob Location: MississaugaPosition Type: On SiteShift Hours: Days, Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.We Bring Food to Your Family’s TableThe Erb Group of Companies is one of North America’s largest privately-owned refrigerated transportation providers. The Erb Group specializes on the timely, protected distribution of temperature-controlled perishable goods across Canada and the U.S. The Erb Group is a family-owned business and has been in the industry for over 60 years. Its head office is based in New Hamburg, Ontario, with additional Canadian terminals in Baden, Toronto, Thunder Bay, North Bay, Ottawa, Montreal, Trenton, Winnipeg and a U.S. terminal in Elverson, PA.What Will You Do

  • Booking delivery appointments for several Erb delivery terminals in Ontario and Manitoba.
  • Arranging full loads and full loads appointments for several Erb Terminals.
  • Monitor loading, unloading and appointments – follow up with customers regarding delays, missed appointments and late arrivals.
  • Ensure customer/shippers are kept informed (follow up) on loads.
  • Communicate any supplemental billing i.e., additional detention charges, holding charges to the Billing Department.
  • Customer communication: Follow up regarding specials, rates, and equipment and delivery schedule.
  • Work with 3rd party Logistics systems i.e., C3, Retail Link, BluJay etc.
  • Pass on any feedback to Load Coordinator to drivers or customers not adhering to Customer Service or Appointment policies and procedures.
  • Have a complete understanding of the policies and procedures of the Customer Service department and appointment booking.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments as it relates to the Customer Service or Appointments.
  • Assist other team members when required.
  • Special projects as assigned by Load Coordinator.
  • All other duties as required.
Who Are We Looking For
  • Excellent keyboarding skills, accurate with details and have knowledge of Erb Operations.
  • Understanding of AS400
  • Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with both internal and external customers.
  • Have strong investigative skills.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and customer focused.
  • High level of personal energy and willingness to take the initiative to make Improvements and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational skills, time management and the ability to multi-task
  • Pleasant telephone manner and good attitude
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the Customer Service Department
  • Ability to work as a team player.
